New Beginnings

Spring has a special place in my heart! It is the time when all nature awakens to new life and new growth. It is a season of hope, filled with colour, energy and vibrance. This plein air painting was done at the edge of a small pond in May, near Parksville BC. The fresh yellow-greens of spring complimented the mauve colours of distant hills and sky. Each hue created soft reflections in the water between the many pretty lily pads.
