Hearts quicken, colours sing and fragrance is all around as gardens everywhere wake up with joy! Last month, I began a series of flower paintings. I never tire of painting the amazing variety of shapes, colours and textures of flowers. It is so much fun to start using all my pure paint colours again. Spring gets me revved up to switch gears from painting peaceful, winter greys, stormy seas, and foggy landscapes, to experimenting with my vibrant, high-energy spring palette. Spring colours are always stimulating and visually exciting!
I have big plans for 2023. One project is to illustrate each new wildflowers I see and research its origin. I will select some of my favourites to paint. This floral series will form an enhanced visual story about the beauty of our local, natural environment. I hope it will be of interest to my viewers! Happy Painting!
