Today is the day I’m setting new priorities. I am beginning a new habit that includes a bit of fun at the beginning of each day, rather than at the end. It will bring an early positive energy infusion to my day, and who can argue with that?
This morning, I was up and ready to go out early. The anticipation of having fun sketching at the beach was great incentive. I packed up my sketching tools and watercolour supplies the night before and I had a quick breakfast, taking my tea with me. The sun was shining, and the views were awesome. Sparkling water and fresh warm colours awaited me. I found a shady spot under some big trees and sat on a big dry log – note to self, bring a cushion next time… and I happily immersed myself in creativity, feeling at one with nature.
It is sometimes hard to comprehend how small changes can make a big difference in our lives. It took a while for me to recognize that I needed to restructure my day, and that it was up to me to do it!
Happy Painting!
